Vote NO Casino on March 5th: There’s a Better Plan for Linn County

On March 5th Linn County voters will have a choice between another casino in Iowa or a family-friendly water park that creates jobs, attracts visitors, and revitalizes downtown Cedar Rapids.

Vote No Casino and Cedar Rapids will get a proposal that gives back more to the taxpayers, is better for the community, and creates more entertainment options for families across Linn County.

The Plan:

Indoor water parks and entertainment facilities generate community involvement and growth. Family development is key for a strong community. With an emphasis on children, family and fun the indoor water park and entertainment complex will not only create growth for families but financial growth and stability for the Cedar Rapids area it supports.

• 40,000 square foot indoor water park open year-round

• $4 million to taxpayers for city-owned land

• $26 million development on vacant land

• 80,000 square foot entertainment area with bowling and food and retail outlets
